A flat stage through the "Poitou" region and the "Charentes." The route catches one's attention because it's totally new. The Tour had to pay a tribute to the city of white wine, also a major city in cycling when the Pelissier and Drogo brothers and Louis Caput rode for the Dilecta brand. It's also the first time the Tour stops in Marennes, the capital of oyster. |
