8km
40 years after Jacques Anquetil's first Tour participation and win in the Tour de France, the race symbolically starts from his native town, Rouen. And what better way was there to commemorate the memory of the time trial champion than an 8-km prologue in the streets of the "city of 100 churches?"
Rouen, a city filled with history, also belongs in the history of cycling. Paris - Rouen is the oldest cycling race and Jean Robic prepared his 1947 Tour victory by winning it.
